Maybe verging on the 4 stars, but a pretty good romp. I like the introduction of Kitty's POV, though I still lag a bit while reading Bartimaeus' bits.(I like the idea of the footnotes, but in practice, it can be a bit hard to divide attention between the main page and the witty asides at the bottom.
